Our services include photography and design support, prepress and printing services, die-cutting and structural design, mailing services, fulfillment and distribution, asset management, web-based print solutions, 1-to-1 marketing, and variable direct mail. As a Variable Data Printing operator, you would be using specialized industry-supported software to write logic and precisely lay out variable and static elements on print production pieces in accordance with customer specifications. This position will be working directly with customers and various departments within Rex Three Inc.
Scope:
It is the responsibility of the lamination and coater operator to effectively produce film and coating projects in a timely and productive manner while exceeding client expectation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review job ticket specifications to determine exact needs for the job at hand and next operation in the production sequence.
- Ensure that the correct film or coating type is being applied for single or both sides of the project.
- Set up respective equipment as needed to deliver a quality product in the most productive manner.
- Examine / quality control inspect coated material for any imperfections and adjust as needed.
- Record job information on load tags and time sheets; enter data collection as needed.
- Maintain the equipment per OEM and company specifications.
- Display and support of high standards in productivity and quality of work.
- Maintain defined inventory levels of all consumables and materials.
- Maintain and promote a professional, friendly, positive and supportive attitude at all times.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ operating film laminator, UV coater, offset presses, or related equipment.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions (English), Job Jackets, material type specification and ruled-up sheets.
- Must be mechanically inclined, especially for paper feed and roller settings.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs (Back braces provided upon request).
